Become one of us...The Few, The Proud! - Young Marines
Young Marine units are organized into local units located in nearly every state in the United States. Each unit is an independent community-based program lead by dedicated adult volunteers. Many of these volunteers are former, retired, active duty, or reserve Marines who believe passionately that the values they learned as Marines had a positive affect on them. They volunteer their time and make every effort to pass those positive values on to those under their charge before other destructive influences take root. Young Marines volunteer, they are not “drafted”. We are not a scared straight program for troubled youth. The Young Marines program is for kids that want to be good. The structure and culture of our program is not suitable for troubled youth. Parents are encouraged and should take an interest and involvement in the Young Marines.
